Because what works for one doesn't always work for another, I'm curious.
What's your favorite love song?

If it's your favorite it totally counts! I don't know all the lyrics but the ones I do know are cool.

Gosh that is a difficult question chicka. So, I'm adding a few to a play list and I'm posting it just for you. *mwah*

But if I had to chose one it would be How Deep Is your Love by the BeeGees

what's yours?

I look forward to a playlist!

My favorite is Nature Boy, or, if you need more traditional At Last though that's more about the way it sounds and she sounds singing it than the straight up lyrics.

I don't think I have one. Most of the music I listen to these days aren't about love at all.

Desolation Row isn't about love? But what about Mama... Ok, that just went a little too far and I'm REALLY sorry...

Nope! It's about all the misfits and weirdos and how "normal" society tries to repress and get rid of them. Right?

Gerard is not Justin!!! ;-P

Fair enough, but I'd bet some of them are about love, just not in the traditional sense. ;-) [though, I now have an image of the boy who would be Christina Ricci singing Feelings. ROFL!]

I totally repressed the fact that The Used has A LOT of songs about love because Bert McCracken is a romantic sap with all the subtlety of a falling anvil. But I try to not listen to the lyrics of those songs ;-)

Ahahah! There are times I wish I hadn't heard the lyrics of songs too. Sometimes they're just too painful. [Justin, I'm looking at you]

I have a couple..."God Bless the Broken Road" (our wedding song), "Say" John Mayer, and "I'm Yours" Jason Mraz.

That's awesome. I often wonder if people grimace when they think back to their wedding choices 20 years down the road.

That's so great to hear! I shall have to poll my long term married friends now to find if they still think fondly on their wedding song! [I'm going to be singing George Strait alllll day now, you know that don't you?]

Oh! That's a great choice for a wedding dance! [and Congrats!!] Moondance is divine, I've always loved that song. Everything is also fantastic. I just love Buble. His voice is so smooth.

I wish I could upload it for you! It's called "All I Want" and it's by a band called Denver Harbor. The same guy wrote a song called "Threesome"! Anyway, the one I mentioned is gorgeous and sweet and perfection.

I've been very fond of "I'm not in love" by 10cc (yes, it's a love song) for many years. Also, top of mind at the moment, 'Strange, Dear, but True, Dear' from Kiss Me Kate. But most of the best American standards are love songs, so it's practically impossible to choose!

Those are all excellent options. The American standards years do make it tough for those looking for traditional love songs, it's true. But they are such luscious choices!
