It is Fat Tuesday and that means Ash Wednesday and Lent loom. I'm sure we're all at least familiar with the idea of giving something up for Lent, so here's my question.

What are you giving up this year? [Not giving something up this year? Make something up!]

I'm Episcopal if I have to give it a title and Lent is light for us as well. As I was saying to [livejournal.com profile] turloughishere, it's always been more about giving up a bad habit than anything religious. The timing is good because you get encouragement and when asked 'What did you give up for Lent?' I always had an answer!

Hey, I'll give up the horribly habit of emotional eating if you do. We can commiserate together on it. ;-)

I'm fairly sure I've said this multiple times, but, I love that icon.

I didn't think you were being strictly religious - I just meant that since Finland is mostly a Lutheran country, the whole idea of giving something up for Lent barely exists in the culture.

That said, giving up emotional eating is not going too well so far. But I'll keep trying. :)

And thank you. :)
